Patient Information Center iX (PIC iX)
It is a patient monitoring system that facilitates patient surveillance, helping healthcare professionals to identify potential deterioration in advance, facilitating informed clinical decision-making and improving therapy outcomes. PIC iX offers powerful clinical decision support tools, early warning assessments, and advanced algorithms to help you identify patients in need early, before critical events occur. Additionally, PIC iX includes technology that can help prioritize alert protocols and workflows.
The Philips Patient Information Center (PIC iX) is the heart of our patient monitoring system, which facilitates visibility into patient conditions, helping caregivers identify potential deterioration early, while improving clinical workflow.
Comprehensive overview from admission to discharge
You can access your patient's monitoring history throughout the entire course of care from the ER, operating room, or ICU to the step-down unit and even during transportation. With PIC iX, you can consolidate and transfer patient data to caregivers, even when they are on the go, and to the EMR (Electronic Medical Record). PIC iX allows you to download digital data from bedside and telemetry devices (and store data for up to 8 hours).
PIC iX offers powerful clinical decision support tools, early warning assessments, and advanced algorithms to help you identify patients in need early, before critical events. In addition, PIC iX includes technology that can help prioritize alarm protocols and workflows. Alarm Advisor makes proactive suggestions for personalizing each patient's settings to help clinicians reduce irrelevant alarms.
Data collection, archiving, access
Philips Data Warehouse Connect is our single, end-to-end, service-oriented clinical data analytics solution that captures, archives, and accesses high-resolution physiological data. We work to synthesize robust clinical data generated by Philips patient monitoring systems, combined with data from other sources, on an open, scalable, and secure data management platform.
Alarm Advisor proactively offers suggestions for personalizing each patient's settings to help healthcare providers reduce inactive alarms.
Protecting data at the point of care
To maintain data integrity and confidentiality, we use a risk-based approach to in-depth protection. User authentication and authorization protect against unauthorized access to patient information and configuration changes. The PIC iX supports role-based access settings and permissions, thus restricting access to specific functions. User authentication can be entered manually or with Imprivata Single Sign-on. PIC iX is a robust system that utilizes the U.S. Department of Defense Security Implementation Technical Guides for operating systems, SQL, .NET, and Internet Explorer.
