Charisma CPAP machine for intensive care
Charisma is a state-of-the-art device for continuous positive airway pressure therapy.Direct input of oxygen concentration and positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) Gas mixing tables, flow rate adjustments and uncertainty about mask leaks are now a thing of the past. The user directly enters the PEEP and oxygen concentration. charisma checks the connected ventilation accessories and ensures that the set parameters are met.
Dynamic leakage compensation
charisma combines the well-known on-demand flow principle with the constant flow principle, continuously adjusts the required flow rate and monitors the set positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP). Older constant flow CPAP equipment had to be manually adjusted to the available gas flow to compensate for leaks in the mask. If the flow rate was too low, the set PEEP value was not reached and there was a risk of alveolar collapse.
Individualized alarm settings
There are fundamental differences in the monitoring requirements of intensive care, outpatient, hospital and therapeutic units. charisma allows you to adapt alarms to the daily needs of the hospital. Thus, apnea requirements, low and high pressure alarms, and the volume at which an alarm is triggered can be directly configured via the touchscreen.
Innovative leakage monitoring based on the “traffic light” principle
charisma continuously monitors leakage and continuously adjusts the inspiration flow rate. In accordance with the traffic light principle, leaks are displayed visually in a clearly understandable manner.
Possible applications
- nasal CPAP;
- drug atomizer - effective aerosolized medicine with a constant flow;
- high-flow CPAP - using masks, nasal cannulas and helmets;
- ventilation with helmets - non-invasive ventilation in case of complications with a mask.
