International Surgical Week ISW
The main BSI meeting is timed to coincide with the International Surgical Week ISW (World Congress of Surgery), which is held every two years and organised by the International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC).
Regularly, about 10-15 international specialty societies, including the four integrated ISS/SIC societies (BSI, IASMEN, IATSIC, ISDS), as well as some national surgical societies, cover a wide range of surgery during the 4-day scientific programme.
Aiming to bring together surgeons at all stages of their careers and from all over the world, the ISW provides a platform for the mutual exchange of scientific knowledge and new techniques.
Umberto Veronesi's lecture is the BSI's keynote lecture at ISW. For more information, please follow the link.
